The MS Recovery Diet

CCSVI questions

I am at my wits end here. I have been following the recommended eating regimine for a year and like others when I started I was using a regular cane to walk. Now I can barely use a quad cane and often use a walker. The only time I go out is for doctor appointments. I am just getting depressed about this. But, I do know one thing for sure. I can never and will never go back to eating the way I used to. Having made the mistake of eating the wrong thing for me without thinking, within minutes, I could not walk. I did it deliberately a second time to be sure and let's just say, I'M SURE! So I am convinced what we eat is key. Now re: CCSVI which I am very interested in, what type of doctor should we see first about this? Because I know my neuro shrugged it off when I just mentioned it. For a while I fell off the info train re: CCSVI. Because it is still relatively new, are people still having good reults and are the results lasting long term so far? Any info would be of help while I catch up on my CCSVI research. Thank you!

Cost/month?

I've been following the MS Recovery Diet for almost 2 1/2 years now... with great success. I am STILL amazed at the distinct (& usually very fast) correlation between what I eat and how I feel. I am definitely committed to the diet. However, I was just looking over our credit card bill, and categorizing and adding everything up (which I don't always do)... I know that our grocery bill is second to our mortgage, but was astonished to see that we had spent $670 on groceries last month (family of four)! Now, that did include two or three holiday meals, but even so... Ack! What do you do to keep your grocery bill lower?

I haven't had a chance to do this yet, but a friend of mine (a SUPER-couponer... the kind that gets $ back), suggested e-mailing some of the brands I use, explaining that I am following a special diet, and that it is really hard to find coupons... can they do anything to help. So, I would like to try that sometime, but was wondering what any of you might do to help keep things from getting out of control. I should also add, that there are months where costs are much lower, and then it seems like I run out of almost everything at once, and have to go on a buying binge. But still... any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Many thanks!

yes to raw cheese?

My husband's boss can't eat dairy, but shared with me that she can eat raw milk cheese. Dairy is a huge trigger for me (crazy fatigue), so I have been hesitant to try. But, I figured that I would give it a try and if it didn't work out, I would just feed to my kids and hubby. Guess what?! I was very surprised to find out that it did not effect me! I couldn't believe it! Very exciting... has anyone else tried it?

Rections to nearly everything

Hi, im new to this but have been following the diet on and off for years. I feel like im reacting to everything the only thing i dont react to is water. How do i find out what my safe foods are? Im also worried about once i have found a safe foods i dont want to react to that food so cant eat it all the time. Ive also found that if i dont eat at all - i have my symptoms greatly reduced?

ELISA Test

I am trying to have the ELISA test done but no one knows where I go to have it done. I went to my internist and he said I have to be more specific because there are several ELISA tests. He asked me to find out what ELISA test is needed for the MS Recovery Diet. So if anyone can help me that would be great.
