Re-introducing trigger foods to my diet.

I have been on the diet for 1 year & 6 weeks.
I was pretty compromised.
The diet has helped in many aspects as I have
explained in earlier posts.
Last Friday i started to introduce new foods to my diet.
I chose 2 scrambled eggs, after about 3 hours, the cognitive issues were back,
the numbness & tigling were back, my toileting issues & my eyesight was fuzzy.
Symptons that I forgot about, that had messed me for years, were back.
I was scared & depressed. I contacted Ann and here is what she said" It would help others if you would write an entry into the forum about your recent experience. It would help others to see that you can and should experiment to see exactly what your triggers are and adjust the diet to the needs of the individual" along with her encouraging words.
Fast forward 1 week, all symptons are back to normal, I will be trying legumes this
weekend. Keep the faith, enjoy the success & spread the word. This diet is the real deal, it is no joke
join in, you don't know what you are missing. Oh and to think I consumed 6 eggs a day before the diet.

Well done to you guys who

Well done to you guys who are finding positive results, keep up the good work! Vikki, I am sorry you are not yet sharing the same success. Please stick with the diet. Maybe you need to eliminate everything except lean proteins and non-startchy vegetables. Maybe you have become allergic to food which you are eating on a regular basis. Both of these scenarios applied to me, it took me 20 mths before I noticed my first trigger food, which was white potatoes - not one of the standard culprits, which goes to prove what Ann and Judi constantly tell us, every one of us is different. I don' t know what your diet is at the minute, but my advice is go strict and only eat a certain food once in every four days, no cheating at all - hopefully you will start to get a bit worse which is a positive sign and then with a bit of luck and plenty of determination you will start to recover. Stay strong!

I wish I had some positive

I wish I had some positive information to share, but I have been on the diet since 5/18/09 and have seen little results. When I first started I was really down and fatigued, but soon after i felt great, not as tired and I had more stamina. I was never able to walk without some assistance, (ie. cane, walker scooter.) But now I seem to be relapsing, I feel tired, my legs are heavy and I'm dragging my left leg more. I have secondary progressive ms, and have had it for 36 yrs. I was so excited to think I would some day walk again without assistance, but now I'm feeling a little disappointed. I continue to follow the diet but it's hard when you don't see results.

Keep up the good work!

Keep up the good work! You're doing all the right things and your body rewards you for it! I've been on the diet for 19 mos. and have had the same results with diet and then trying to reintroduce new foods. To take Ann's advice to you to share your experience, I'll post my MRI follow-up visit rather than here. Keep at it! This diet is awesome and even my doctor is spreading the word!
