Uh oh! Recipes.

Thanks for the successful use of the paleolithic diet in the MS Recovery Diet. As I went through the recipes at the end of the book, I realized a revised edition is perhaps in order. Like you, I had to revise as I discovered new things and as I unknowingly ate the "bad stuff" that caused reactions to my body, setting me back in my healing. I consumed several legumes that are listed in the recipes and there are probably other MS sufferers who are very sensitive, like me. The symptoms in many won't go away until these legumes are removed from their diet: Carob, Soy, Peas, Cashews, Cocoa, Green Beans, Peanuts, Guar Gum, and Lentils are all substances that stunted my healing because they are all legumes. I tried gluten-free soy sauce until I realized I can't have soy! And they use soy in all sorts of sauces and marinades. I cried when I realized what I'd been doing and that it led to my falling and suffering. Since I eliminated these items in January, I've been on a very slow but steady climb toward recovery. :-)

I hope this information helps others in their search for a symptom-free life!
