my journey to recovery

Hi All,

I just wanted to say to just me, that I could have written that post word for word (except for the cheating.) It has been 5 months and 13 days, as I started the diet on February 1st/09. There have been good and bad days but the good days are always better than the previous good days. I have never fallen back to the way I was before the diet. (energy wise, fatigue, weakness and migraines) However, I have burning on the bottom of my feet that is new and a little weaker drop foot on my bad side. The biggest improvement is my energy level. I used to get migraines and they are gone. As well, I can stand at the counter and make my dinner where as before my daughter and husband had to do it. I have more strength and my mind is much clearer, organized and free from brain fog. My bladder and bowels are working better too. There are so many little things (to numerous to mention) that give me the inspiration and determination to keep on going. You have to watch yourself on those days as you want to do everything in sight but you must not overdo. (Man that is very hard for me) The improvements take time and are so small but they are there. It is so exciting to me that this works, that I can hardly believe it. Mind you, the downs might get one discouraged but hang in there. I think that everyone should give it a good year before they throw in the towel. Remember you didn't wind up like this overnight and it will take a long time to heal. Please keep going - dont give up. Good luck to all!!

I am on the diet and am

I am on the diet and am curious: Is there anyone out there with a recent story of recovery? It appears the diet takes 2 years to effect an outcome and given the book has been out since '07 I would expect more positive outcomes.
