My son was diagnosed with in MS in 2003 and until now there seem to be no problems. Just within the last 2 years his doctor has changed his medicine and now he is having difficulty walking and keeping his balance. He is 25 years old, married, has 3 children and has been let go from his job due to his lack of balance. We are looking for alternative methods of treatment so that he can come off of the injections. While he was on the web, he came across this site and we are very interested. But there has been so much conflicting information that we have come in contact with since we have been looking for alternative ways. He has changed his diet to basically just vegetables with no meat. Some people say that this is the correct way and other say that he should have some meat for protein. He is so confused and starting to get frustrated. He is not one to give in to something and he is not giving into this. He is determined that he is going to get healed from this and be able to play with his children again. I need help with this one. As a parent, you always think that you can handle anything that they come up against but I don't seem to know what to do or where to go on this one. Please help me to help my son. Tell me the benefits and downfalls on this diet. Give me some comformation that everything is going to be alright.

I would suggest getting the book and reading it. That's a good place to start. You're going to have lots of questions once you have that information but it's especially overwhelming without the book. As I understand it, everyone is different and what you eventually do is figure out what foods are tolerated and what foods aren't. Then, once you have an idea of what is tolerated, eat those foods in the proper rotation. It's definitely confusing so my advice is to get the book, read it through and any question you have after that, post on here. It seems there are lots of people with lots of experience on here who would be better at answering the more specific questions. Seeing all of the success stories was enough for me to start!
