rice krispies

On the "best chance diet" website, Rice Krispies are okayed, but they contain malt, which usually derives from barley. Are they OK?

avoid anything sweetened for

avoid anything sweetened for now- until you know if your body reacts to sugars or not. Also, puffed rice cereals (even unsweetened from the health food store) are not all that nutritious- fine for a quick snack but eating cream of rice cereal made from whole ground rice is a better bet. Or cooked rice cold the next day with some nut or rice milk is also quick or heat it up gently with the milk. I know that weaning ourselves away from cold cereal breakfasts is not easy- so change over time to considering other breakfast alternatives-such as leftovers from lunches or dinners as well. There are other great breakfast ideas from other readers. Good luck.
