I just started last week and ordered the book but would appreciate ANY recipe ideas - especially for breakfast! I ate ceral with milk for so long I am at a loss now what to eat.
See my comments in "Favorite Foods" I offer a pancake recipe and a salmon recipe..salmon not so good for breakfast...but pancakes are delicious and nutritious. The North American breakfast diet is not really nutritious, and I learned long ago (I'm 64 and just diagnosed with MS) to eat my dinner in the morning before work (that way I get all the nutrients I need to see me through the day) and my breakfast at night. You will get more energy if you eat like a queen at breakfast. As I develop new recipes for myself for breakfast, I will share them. As for the pancakes, take a day (maybe on the weekend) and put together the dry ingredients in plastic bags and freeze the bags. That way, in the work morning rush, you can quickly throw together the pancakes without spending time measuring everything out. Hope this is somewhat helpful.
I work full time so I need things that are speedly. I recently started as well and found a few things that work for me. I eat rice cereal or corn flakes with rice milk and bananas and it is very tasty. I also eat oatmeal with raisins....banana bread from the recipe in the book and rice bread toasted with all fruit spread.
