Newly Diagnosed with Clinically Isolated Syndrome...

I am 42 years old and was diagnosed with Clinically Isolated Syndrome just a week ago. I was absolutely devastated but was relieved upon the discovery of this book and to know there is a way to take charge of my life. CIS is such a "gray area" of this disease. By following this diet and getting my immune system in order, is it possible to prevent the conversion to Clinically Definite MS? My brain MRI was also abnormal and so I understand there is about an 80% probability of the conversion. I know this diet is excellent in terms of the "relief" of symptoms...but can it also prevent progression?

Susan, I too have been

Susan, I too have been diagnosed with CIS. I was told it was very likely it would develop into MS. I have started the diet 2 weeks ago. It is my belief that if I get control of this now, I will control the disease progression and not end up with an MS diagnosis. I am also going to take copaxone as a safety net and hopefully, eventually go off of it and just do the diet. I was wondering where you are with this? Did you start the diet? Are you still on the diet? If you don't mind sharing, I would be interested to hear.
