Reading Mary's letter in Ann's blog (E-mails giving reports of recovery...) and rereading Andrew's post (Mercury and Aspartame) resonated with me and triggered some thoughts. The popular attitude towards illness is: Go to the doctor and be fixed (or not). Sometimes I think that those who take responsibility for their healing are not given much credit - and are even viewed suspciously - as taking responsibility for your healing is a concept most cannot understand. (I am not anti medical support and intervention - it clearly has it's place. It's just not the beginning and end of the story.)
I am so thankful for Judi and Ann's dedication to spreading the word about the Recovery Diet - for their willingness to personally respond to e-mails - and for putting support in place in the form of this website. Sitting down and reading or rereading what they and others have written has seen me through some tough days.
I am wondering if we might begin thinking about local support groups - focused on support of healing? Just a thought.
